Playing along with Pip's My Place and Yours Meme again this week seemed liked a perfect opportunity to talk hooks...Clover Crochet Hooks particularly; have you used these? They are amazing, no really...they are, I've used the basic variety and of cousre they get the job done, but these are special, they are just so light and comfortable! They also make stacking lots of loops for more intricate crochet a breeze. I will admit they are considerably more expensive, but hey, you only need to buy them once right?
And by the way, that blanket in the background...I started it on Saturday night and I'm going like the clappers! Another Bubba#5 project using mainly left over yarn from the recently finished Baby Ripple and Hexagons Blankets with the addition of Orange. The pattern is from Sarah Londons October Hip to Hook...lots of scallopy goodness here...

Loving the colours you're using Tam! beautiful!
hmm, a couple of people mentioned these hooks, I'm going to have to check them out!
I'm going to check Hobby Lobby/Michaels for the hooks with their weekly coupon. Love the colors in your work, I sent for her October book also and am enjoying it.
Stunning blankie!!
Oh wow! I had no idea about these fancy shmancy hooks and you have told me just in time as the callous on my finger is protesting madly about my metal hooks. I might have to go this afternoon and see if the local yarn shop stocks them. Thanks for that! The blankie is looking gorgeous BTW.
Thanks for the tip. I've been wanting to get back into crochet. I need something portable.
Yes! Those crochet hooks are fantastic. They are more expensive, but from memory, I purchased a full set on ebay from a US seller at a great price! Looks like you are enjoying the scallopy goodness!

They're my favourite hooks too - I got a full set from eBay at a good price. The crochet is looking fantastic!
I did have one of those hooks but I lost it :( Then I had a lovely Susan Bates one with a bamboo handle and I appear to have lost that too! I cannot keep hold of my hooks, although I have a special pencil case to put them in. I'm going to go back to eBay and buy another one, and TRY to be more responsible this time!
Hello, Tamara!
I'm a portuguese working mother of 2 girls (11 and 8 years old), plus a stepmom of a boy (11) and a girl (7), they all live with us, most of the time. I also like to knit, crochet and I'm learning how to sew, and I'm really loving it. I found your blog through panoparamangas, and I'm in love with it.

I use the Clover hooks and I hesitate anytime I have to use another hook in a pinch. Love them! I love the colors you are using... I hope you will post pictures of your finished product!

I have to agree. I balked at paying the price for the Clover hook, but couldn't resist trying it, and they are just a joy to use. Makes such a difference for your hands. Lovely blog you have here!
I think some of those will be going on my Christmas list. Then I'll add them to secret weapon.
Oh they sound lovely! I think I need to add some to my christmas list too :)
I love, love, LOVE those hooks!! I just bought myself one last week finally, they are so comfy to crochet with. If I weren't getting dizzy so fast, I could easily crochet for hours.
My favourite kind of hook too. My fingers get a bit crampy with the usual ones.
ha I am using clover hooks as well, they are definitely my favorite buy this year!
lovely blanket!
